Simon Pegg: Too romantic for BAFTAs?
Britain's glitziest and most star-studded awards ceremony the BAFTA's takes place this Saturday.
A-listers including Leonardo DiCaprio, Clive Owen, Cate Blanchett, Martin Scorsese, Richard Gere, and Keanu Reeves will be marching up the red carpet.
Martin Scorsese's 'The Aviator' leads the nominations with fourteen. 'Finding Neverland' and 'Vera Drake' are both up for eleven and the martial arts movie 'House of the Flying Daggers' is up for nine.
Kate Winslet and Jamie Foxx are nominated twice in the acting categories.
'Shaun of the Dead' is up for Best British Film - Simon Pegg starred in the film and co-wrote it but isn't sure if he'll put in an appearance at the awards because he has more pressing matters:
"I don't know - it's my girlfriend's birthday so I might not. I'm very honoured to be nominated, but you've got to get your priorities right."
"It's seating you see - If I can't bring a partner because the of the table seating, then I won't go."
"Valentine's Day is also my birthday, and I'm absolutely a romantic."
"The postman reckons I'm a stud because I get so many cards."
"Every year he shouts through the letter box 'What's your secret?!'"
'Shaun of the Dead' is up against 'Vera Drake', 'Dead Man's Shoes', 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' and 'My Summer of Love'.
