Also I think that wins for the most 80s-ish theme ever.

I think there should be separate categories for saxophone and electronic music.

Saxophone would be won by the closing titles of Family Ties. Hands down:

(Fast forward about 2:40 in. Unless you're a big Skippy fan, in which case watch the whole clip.)

Have I beaten the hell out of the Sesame Street horse yet? Sorry, have to post one more...

Reason #852 why it used to rule: Teaching kids to be accepting of others, even if they look different than you, in extremely simple yet effective ways.

While we're on the Sesame Street, you can't go past this classic...

Tim: I know, I’d look like a twat in a jumpsuit.
Daisy: Don’t say that, Tim. That’s a word that hates women.
Tim: What, twat?
Daisy: No, jumpsuit.

I don't remember those cartoons.
Trent apparently remembers Silverhawks though.
His comment was "It had some nice design elements, but it always annoyed me because it was one of those shows where there was a down in space!! And air apparently!"
:lol2:

Manah Manah is the best thing ever.
Do you know where the song originally came from?
Check it out...

Apparently this was from a pseudo-documentary made in the late 60s (Italian I think) about "wild sexual activity and other behaviour in Sweeden"
Hmmm, what were Jim Henson and his crew watching?

See, I remember Silverhawks, but don't think I've ever actually seen it. Weird, huh.

Dungeons & Dragons, are you kidding? I have them all on DVD, nerd that I am.

Anyone remember this?

I always wanted a 30/30 droid.

I can just imagine the marketing meeting that lead to that one.
"What do kids like now?"
"Cowboys! Wild West!"
"No, no, no - kids are all into space and robots and stuff"
"Hmmm......." *lightbulb*
:lol2:

Does anyone remember there was this cartoon which it was all robots or maybe they were cars but they were half plant half machine? For the life of me I can't remember the name of the show!

More blasts from the past:

I think you mean Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors:

Interestingly enough, co-created by J. Michael Straczynski.

:P is too true

And that's it!! Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors . . my brother had a few of those toys when he was younger.

I also miss the early Tom & Jerry and Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes . .

I think those cartoons introduced me to other types of non pop music before music teachers in school ever did
