Peggster mommies unite!


I wrote the first episode of a webseries idea I had floating in my head for awhile. Sent it to a friend of mine who is part of this small production company with someone in Los Angeles and she liked it . . even talked about raising some money to get it made - she has to show it to her partner first. I need to start working on the next few episodes hopefully they'll like them too. *fingers crossed*

Well, that was the first time and that was...... *drum roll* AWESOOOOOOME !

That was really nice, everybody was really kind (actors, director....) and the short movie is going to be shown (??? is it the right word ?) at the opening of the Festival de Cannes ! Huge !!!

Well Kim, I'm waiting for the nice girl who has been taking care of us extras to send me infos about the movie !! I'll sure post it !
Other great time for me this week : First real photoshoot with a friend of mine who is an extremely good photographer (he would love to be a professional one, but... you know... it's hard to live from your dreams) and it was great !!! It's weird, but great ! I can't wait for the pictures to come now....... I'm not photogenic so I'm a bit afraid of the result....

I'm training to be a docent at an 1870s Victorian mansion called the Woodruff-Fontaine House. It's only a volunteer job, but I'm really enjoying spending time at the house. Their current exhibit is mourning and the yellow fever epidemic in Memphis. I noticed they didn't have any memento mori photographs (post mortem and memorial photos), so I offered to loan mine to the museum until the end of the exhibit. The curator loved my collection and gave me a whole shelf in a display case at the museum entrance.

I've recently been spending quite a bit of quality time with my niece & her absolutely adorable baby. Although it breaks my heart every day that I've never had kids of my own, I can at least squander my overly maternal instincts on a gorgeous baby that's related to me. He truly is a bundle of joy.

And then Sarah discovered that the movie is already out on DVD here in Australia! So I've already got my copy, less than a week after seeing the film.

Life just isn't like the movies is it? You know? We're constantly led to believe in resolution, in the re-establishment of the ideal status quo, & it's just not true. Happy endings are a myth designed to make us feel better about the fact that life is just a thankless struggle.
Well I won't argue that it was a no-holds-barred adrenaline-fuelled thrill-ride, but there's no way you could perpetrate that amount of carnage & mayhem & not incur a considerable amount of paperwork.

To add to my fangirly joy, both Nick & Simon chatted a little with me on Twitter today. I do adore those boys!
