DOC OF THE DEAD on Kickstarter

From Exhibit A Pictures:

The definitive zombie culture documentary, from the makers of THE PEOPLE vs. GEORGE LUCAS. Featuring Simon Pegg and George A. Romero.

More than just a movie, DOC OF THE DEAD will be an epic narrative supplemented by an ever-expanding transmedia catalogue of hundreds of hours of special features, and the most ambitious celebration of this extraordinarily rich, singular, and important culture ever committed to film.

This is our first attempt at Kickstarter, and we decided to set a modest goal, which will enable us to complete principal photography, and give us a clearer path toward additional investments and pre-sales. Needless to say, this isn't close to the amount we need to finish the film; but now that we've built a lot of momentum in a short amount of time, and interviewed Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead), George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead), Alex Cox (Sid and Nancy, Repo Man), Matt Mogk (Head of the Zombie Research Society), and Thea Munster (Creator of the Toronto Zombie Walk), we need to continue filming NOW! If we manage to exceed our goal, with your support, every dollar will go toward completing and distributing the film. And we'll announce stretch goals with exciting additional rewards every step of the way.

Ok, I definitely want to see this!! Haha thought Simon was gonna break out the cricket bat :)
I think that it is going to be interesting to explore the world of zombies a bit more, the whole genre is fascinating. Especially with the recent stories in the news of humans consuming the flesh of other humans.

On that note, I also do the zombie walks here in my city twice a year. The reactions that you get from people is priceless, and some of the makeup is a-ma-zing! If you want to see pictures, look up the River City Zombie Committee on facebook :)

Brraaaaaiinnnnsss......
